Echocardiograph Technicians
Echo Techs are cardiovascular technologists who specialize in echocardiography. They administer echocardiograms and sonograms of the heart, stress tests and other monitoring procedures as ordered by a physician.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field of cardiovascular technology is expected to experience much faster than average growth, with a 26% increase in jobs by the year 2016. The median salary for this occupation in May 2006 was $42,300 annually.
