Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse or ability to obtain it - Current Certification(s): Current Basic Life Support and CPR - Department Specific Certifications: o Obstetrics requires NRC/NRP o Critical Care/Cardiac Rehab requires ACLS o Emergency requires ACLS, PALS, CPI and BERT o Medical/Surgical: PALS preferred - 6 years current acute care nursing experience in specialty 2 years management/supervisory role

Job Description

Taking control in the delivery of patient care and all nursing activities for assigned units. Maximizing resource utilization and achieves organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation Ensuring compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards and state/federal laws and regulations. - Providing services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital's operations. Developing and mentoring staff - Ensuring customer satisfaction - Identifying and responding to situations that interfere with effective customer service delivery; Serving as a role model in the area of customer service Responsible for financial management; budgeting issues - Maximizing efficiency Ensuring performance Hiring and terminating of employees
