The Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluating patients who are dealing with serious medical diseases, illnesses, or organ failures. The Medical Intensive Care Unit RN must be able to remain composed in all situations when working with patients in this unit, because they require a high level of care.
As a Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse your duties include:
Meeting with other members of the medical staff to write a care plan for the patient.
Consistently monitor the patient's vitals and record any changes ad progress.
Educating the patient and their families on the current health condition of the patient and coordinate the patient's discharge plans, when need be.
One year of experience as a Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered nurse within the past two years.
