The Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse is responsible for analyzing, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluating patients who are dealing with serious medical diseases, illnesses, or organ troubles. The Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered nurse need to remain composed in all situations when working with patients in this unit, because they require a high level of care.
As a MICU Registered nurse your responsibilities consist of:
Collaborating with other members of the medical staff to develop a care plan for the patient.
Regularly monitor the patient's vitals and log any progress or changes.
Teaching the patient and their family members on the current health condition of the patient and coordinate the patient's discharge plans, when need be.
One year of experience as a MICU Nurse within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
