The Medical Intensive Care Unit RN is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, providing treatment, and evaluation of patients who are dealing with serious medical diseases, illnesses, or organ troubles. The MICU RN have to remain composed in various situations when working with patients in this unit, because they need a high level of care.
As a MICU Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
Collaborating with other members of the medical staff to write a care plan for the patient.
Consistently watch the patient's vitals and log any changes ad progress.
Educating the patient and their family members on the current health condition of the patient and plan the patient's discharge plans, if need be.
One year of experience as a MICU Registered nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
