The MICU Registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients who are suffering from serious medical diseases, illnesses, or organ failures. The Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered nurse must be able to remain composed in various situations when working with patients in this unit, because they need a high level of care.
As a MICU RN your responsibilities include:
Collaborating with other members of the medical staff to create a care plan for the patient.
Constantly monitor the patient's vitals and record any changes ad progress.
Teaching the patient and their family members on the patient's current health condition and coordinate the patient's discharge plans, if need be.
One year of experience as a Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
