The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their examinations, and provide emotional and physical support to the patient.
As a Cath Lab RN your duties include:
Monitoring the patient’s vital signs before, during and after their procedure.
Dispensing and recording medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Helping the doctors perform different procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
