Emergency Room RNs provide care for people who are experiencing life-threatening injuries or trauma. Emergency Room Nurses need to be able to rapidly identify life-threatening complications while keeping calm and professional.
As an Emergency Room Nurses your responsibilities consist of:
Managing time and having the ability to make quick, accurate assessments.
Ensuring patients are stable and managing any discomfort in an intense setting.
Providing prescribed medications while checking for allergies to prevent problems.
Rapidly obtain vitals and other health samples as needed.
One year of experience as an Emergency room RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
