Job Description

Intensive Care Unit Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening trauma. Intensive Care Unit RNs must have the ability to make immediate and spot on decisions while keeping composed during unpredictable, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

ICU Nurses responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing the patient's progress.
  • Following the correct process if there are any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Assisting physicians with medical procedures.
  • Ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly while caring for patients.
  • Administering needed medication in a fast moving, high stress environment.
  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Intensive Care Unit RN within the past two years.
  • Current Nursing License in good standing.
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.


MARYLAND

Any time of the year, shoppers will enjoy Bethesda's trendy boutiques and restaurants. Then cross into Washington D.C. to see all of the excitement and majesty of our nation's capitol.  Living and working in Maryland puts registered nurses in the middle of lots of good things to see and do.
