The postpartum Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of female patients who gave birth recently. Postpartum Registered Nurse must be able to provide emotional and physical support tailored to the new mother’s individual needs.
As a Postpartum Nurse your duties include:
Perform a variety of health assessments to make sure the mother and her newborn are in good health and recovering properly.
Educating the new mother and her family on how to take care for their child and relieving any concerns by answering any and all questions they may have.
Looking out for any signals of postpartum depression in the mothers and treating correctly.
One year of experience as a Postpartum RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
