The postpartum Nurse is responsible for providing care for female patients who recently had a baby. Postpartum Registered Nurse need to be able to provide physical and emotional care tailored to the new mother’s specific needs.
As a Postpartum Registered Nurse your responsibilities include:
Perform different of health assessments to make sure the mother and baby are in good health and recovering properly.
Teaching the new mother and her family on how to take care for their infant and relieving any concerns by answering all questions they may have.
Watching for any signs of postpartum depression in the mothers and addressing correctly.
One year of experience as a Postpartum RN within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
