The postpartum RN is responsible for providing care for female patients who recently had a baby. Postpartum Nurse are required to provide emotional and physical support designed around the new mother’s specific needs.
As a Postpartum Nurse your responsibilities include:
Perform various of health assessments to ensure the mother and baby are healthy and recovering properly.
Educating the new mother and her family on taking care of their addition and relieving any concerns by answering all questions they may have.
Watching for any signals of postpartum depression in the mothers and treating correctly.
One year of experience as a Postpartum Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
