The primary focal point for the Oncology Registered Nurse is to help patients who are diagnosed with different levels of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also take care of patients that have a increased risk of getting the disease, and provide patients with preventative methods.
As an Oncology Registered Nurse your duties include:
Providing care and concern to patients while coaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other crucial medications to the patient.
Observing the patient’s physical and mental state and documenting their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology RN within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
