The Cath Lab RN assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give emotional and physical support to the patient.
As a Cath Lab RN your duties consist of:
Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after procedures.
Administering and logging medication.
Providing treatment when needed.
Assisting the physicians perform different procedures such as angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
