The Post Anesthetic Care Unit Nurse is responsible for the day to day care of patients that have just went through anesthesia during a procedures. PACU RNs care for all types of patients, from children to adults and play an important role in the patient's recovery.
As a Post Anesthetic Care Unit Nurse your duties include:
Analyze the patient's health status and administer medications as needed.
Assisting patients with personal needs right after their medical procedure as they are helped back to consciousness.
Monitor the patient's vitals and make sure that no complications arise.
Care for the patients surgical wounds and replace dressings as needed.
One year of experience as a PACU Registered nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
