Intensive Care Unit Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Intensive Care Unit RNs must have the ability to make quick and spot on decisions while staying composed during unforeseen, traumatic events.
This will be a rotating 7a-7p and 7p-7a assignment.
Intensive Care Unit RNs responsibilities consist of:
Evaluating the progress of the patient.
Taking needed steps if the patient's condition changes.
Helping medical staff with medical procedures.
Ensuring all medical devices are functioning properly while caring for the patient.
Administering needed medication in a fast-paced, highly stressful environment.
Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.
One year of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse within the past two years.
