The SICU Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of critically ill patients recovering from major operations. SICU Registered Nurses have to assess the patient, diagnose and implement treatment plans accordingly.
As a Surgical ICU Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
Educating patients and their family members before, during and after procedures.
Sterilizing tools and the room.
Prepping the surgical room and make sure safety measures are followed.
Assisting the doctor in varying procedures while monitoring the patient’s health.
One year of experience as a SICU RN within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
