The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prepare the room and the patient for the procedure and make sure that all medical equipment is sterile and operating properly.
Operating Room Nurse responsibilities consist of:
Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
Anticipate what the surgeons need and provide instruments and supplies to them during procedures.
Preserving and labeling all items needed for lab examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
