The Cath Lab RN assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Cath lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and provide physical and emotional support to the patient.
As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties consist of:
Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.
Administering and documenting prescribed medication.
Providing treatment as needed.
Assisting the physicians perform several procedures such as stent placements.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse within the past two years.
