The main focus for the Oncology Nurse is to deliver care for patients who are diagnosed with various stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also help patients that have a high risk of getting the disease, and provide patients with preventative routines.
As an Oncology Registered Nurse your duties consist of:
Providing compassion to patients while teaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other necessary medications to the patient.
Overseeing the patient’s physical and mental state and reporting the patient's progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology RN within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
