The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the OR. OR RNs will prepare the operating room and the patient for surgery and make certain that all equipment is safe and working properly.
Operating Room Nurse responsibilities include:
Monitoring the well being of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
Predict what the surgeons need and provide medical instruments and supplies to them during operations.
Gathering and labeling the items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room Nurse within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
