The primary focal point for the Oncology Registered Nurse is to care for patients who are diagnosed with various stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also take care of patients that have a elevated risk of getting the disease, and supply the patients with preventative methods.
As an Oncology RN your duties consist of:
Offering compassion to patients while teaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other critical medications to the patient.
Monitoring the patient’s physical and mental health and logging the patient's progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
