OKLAHOMA

Oklahoma is one of those great secret places that most people stumble upon instead of plan to visit.  But it's not because the locals don't want to share their good fortune, Oklahoma is beautiful and the locals welcome their guests with open arms! Not only does Oklahoma have two dynamic major cities and mild weather, it also has amazing state parks with water falls, sand dunes for off-roading, ATVs or hiking.  Registered nurses will be busy with all there is to do in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City is the latest city in the state and it's a great place to be.  Bricktown is OKC's entertainment district and it has a full range of entertainment and dining options.  Tulsa is just a little smaller, but has just as vibrant of nightlife.  While in Tulsa, do some shopping on Cherry Street, check out the Tulsa Air and Space Museum and explore the Philbrook Museum of Art.

Oklahoma's real treasure is in it's natural beauty.  Just outside of Oklahoma City is Turner Falls in the Arbuckle Mountains.  Turner Falls is Oklahoma's largest waterfall and it tumbles over a 77 foot cascade into a natural swimming pool.  You can even swim under the waterfall.  Natural Falls State Park (near West Siloam Springs) falls over 70 feet into a picturesque pool.  Beaver Dunes State Park and Little Sahara State Park are great places to go off-road with ATVs in a spectacular setting.  For some serious hiking, rappelling or climbing, head to Red Rock Canyon State Park in the central part of the state.  And finally, don't miss Oklahoma in the fall when the trees redecorate with spectacular colors.
